A man, a van, and a dog named River. What started as a simple adventure in 2012 to travel and live in a van for a year has shown itself to be more than a passing life phase. In 2016, with a new Vanagon and a a co-pilot named River, we set off to live this life the way we see fit.

LIFE OF BALU
It all started with a dream of Mogli. He always imagined what it would be like to have a VW Van. To feel the freedom, the vibes and the independency. To wake up one day in front of the ocean with the sound of the waves. In October 2015 Mogli finally bought Balu, a 30 year old Volkswagen LT28 Van. He fell in love at the very first moment.
Matt set up The Van Life blog as a way to document his ownership and life living with a campervan! In addition to being a petrol head, and DIY mechanic, he’s also a keen skimboarder, surfer and rock climber, so the camper fits in nicely with his active lifestyle.
Xeph write about his adventures on the island of Gran Canaria, with his new rescue dog Babu, his venture into van dwelling, his attempts at a more frugal approach to living, and info on food, gear and tech stuff on the road.
