Holiday Wishes From Italy
It’s been a long time since our last travel blog post, but I think many things have happened, especially in the last week. Not really traveling so much right now, but we do have reasons. First of all, after all the work that we both did on our website in the last years, we’ve started to collect some really nice achievements or as some people call them: sponsorships.
The first one is from Gowesty, a specialized online store for Westfalia people, campers and car lovers. We are now featured in their website with our blog and they’re sending us a really nice xmas box (in fact it will arrive after xmas, but that’s ok) with many items and merchandise we chose from the website: from nice t-shirts to a solar shower, new curtains to a bamboo dish set. So exited to receive the box and open it. For sure we’ll update you all with a nice video of that moment. Grin.
The second sponsor is an Italian online store Il portale del sole that has a huge list of interesting items related to solar energy. We try to be clean and respectful of nature as much we can, and solar energy is a really good solution for us. We received a portable solar panel of 100W power. I’ve already created a space in the back where the panel is safe. It’s not big and heavy, and this solution will allow me to use my computer. We’ll also be able to use other electric items that need power in complete autonomy and independence from the minivan. Can’t wait for a nice, hot beach in Cote D’Azur or the beautiful Spanish countryside (where we’ll be soon).
So no travel right now, in order to receive all this amazing stuff. At the same time, we’re treating Mork to a little TLC, too. New tires, filters, oil, pads and other small things. And when everything is ready, we can hit the road as usual.
We’ve recently invested in some ‘practical toys,’ which are fantastic. A Kindle; an iPad (with a hook, so we can watch films from bed); and a mini ‘surround sound’ system. We figured out a way to elevate the bed a little, too, like an EZ boy. Let’s hope it doesn’t make us too lazy. Ha.
We’re now planning a new strategy for our travels and other ways to support it. As you can see on the main page of our website, you can find a media kit link. Pretty simple if people need our skills and professionalism in order to create unique internet content. Seems that 2015 will be a year of change, where we’ll be able to enjoy 110% our trip.
At the same time, as Xmas is coming, we would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays, and a 2015 full of travels, new experience and emotions.
