Come With Us: England
From July 31, 2013 to September 2, 2013:
365 days of #vanlife
Our last stop for our whirlwind European capital summer: London. I’d never been before. We’d met a friend, Dominic, in Thessaloniki and he and his roomie, Miro, offered us a place to stay. I didn’t see much of London, but here are some of Armando’s impressions:
On the way to the loading dock bound for England.
We’d used Blabla Car to find riders for cost sharing, and at the border we had 4 unique passports to confuse border patrol with: Italian, American, Swiss and Turkish. Ha.
Ciao, Calais! We’re on our way to merry England!
The White Cliffs of Dover really are a brilliant white. They were unusually pretty and fierce-looking.
Outside of Dom and Miro’s house. It seemed almost every direction you went in, it was up a steep hill. They were fantastic hosts, with Miro cooking and Dom entertaining us. (Thanks, fellas!)
Yes, it’s Big Ben and downtown London. We can play tourists, from time to time.
An all-time favorite food for us both: lasagna. And Armando’s is the best (of course). Grin.
A random bus in the London hubbub.
London street art is fantastic (Banksy, anyone?). This is a lovely quote from Ghandi on a corner shop.
We hope you’ve enjoyed our London pics. What about you? Have you been? Any tips for favorite sites or spots? Photos? Share yours in the comments below!
